Turkish Company Chosen for Use in Tower Bridge Renovation

(MENAFN) Modular cabins produced by the Turkish company Karmod will be used as offices during the ongoing renovation of London’s renowned Tower Bridge, as stated by the company in an announcement on Monday.

Zekai Kucuk, the General Manager of Karmod Cabin, explained that the company's modular units provide a practical office solution, especially for historic and tourist destinations.

He emphasized that these lightweight, mobile cabins are designed to be installed without causing any harm to their surroundings, making them ideal for restoration projects in sensitive heritage locations.

"That’s why our models are often preferred for renovation works in historical locations, as well as for ticket booths and kiosks around tourist attractions," Kucuk added.

He further noted that the cabin, measuring 270x390 centimeters, is constructed with a fiberglass-reinforced CTP system and has been placed directly on Tower Bridge to serve as the project office throughout the renovation process.

"Tower Bridge is a first-degree protected structure, so we designed a solution that ensures both safety and preservation," Kucuk explained.

"Our modular office is now in service atop one of the world’s most iconic landmarks," he concluded.
